Wednesday 20th February 2019:                     'THE BATS OF LINCOLNSHIRE’ from Julie Ellison 

as an active member of The Lincoln Bat Group, Julie will tell us of their work, and will return to us in late Summer to lead an evening “bat survey” in Mercers' Wood in Gainsborough.

Wednesday 20th March 2019:                                      'EURING – What is it?' from Chris du Feu

As seen on Springwatch 2018, Chris is a senior member of The BTO and is involved with all of the European bird ringing schemes. He asks you to Please bring some fresh slugs, properly packed, from your locality for him to identify.

Wednesday 17th April 2019:                                         ‘BRITISH OWLS’ from Annette Mackenzie

With a great passion for and many years' experience with owls. Annette will be telling us about the owls of the UK and will be bring two captive owls with her, which you may be able to handle.

There will be a short AGM held after the talk.


Indoor meetings are held at Morton Village Hall (postcode DN21 3AL) and begin at 7.30pm. Members and non-members, adults and children equally welcome. Admission is by donation (minimum £1.50 which includes tea/coffee and biscuits). Raffle, sales table and bird food sales (please pre-order – see panel of prices). Volunteers to serve refreshments and clear up afterwards are much appreciated.
